  • NOTE *
A bug under Mac OS X Lion causes PacketScope to spin. To workaround this ensure that PacketScope is set to display port numbers instead of names from the view menu. A fix and more features are coming soon. We apologize for any inconvenience.
  • NOTE *

PacketScope is a personal network monitor. It allows you to see incoming and outgoing connections to and from your computer. Is your network or internet connection just slow or down? You can use PacketScope to view activity on any network interface in your system, such as long running downloads. You can also find out which application is using the connection and how much data is transferred per network interface. PacketScope provides graphs that allows you to see how much data is transferred in bytes (1st graph) and how many packets per second from active network interfaces (2nd graph).

  • Recognised Protocols: IPv4, IPv6, TCP.
  • Reverse DNS lookups of IPv4 and IPv6 addresses.
  • Enable or Disable mapping of port numbers to service names.
  • Show which network interfaces are in use.
  • Enable and Disable information from individual interfaces.
  • Realtime graphs -- bytes per second and packets per second for incoming and outgoing traffic.
  • Compact mode with graphs only.
  • Show name and icon of the application that initiated the connection.
  • Show the geographic location of a connection/IP address.
  • Right-click to open any address in Safari, SSH, Screen Sharing or access network resource in Finder, or show it on the map.

To avoid misunderstandings, please ensure you read the entire description carefully before buying.
