GoLand, built by JetBrains, is a popular IDE for Go development. GoLand provides powerful built-in tools to run and debug Go applications, as well as easy code navigation to help developers jump between types, files, and other symbols. Similar to many other JetBrains IDEs, GoLand includes out-of-the-box support for versional control systems such as Git, GitHub, and Mercurial. Here's how to get started:
- Visit the plugin marketplace for GoLand plugins and search for Code Time. Click Get to download the Code Time plugin for GoLand.
- After installing Code Time, open the plugin in the sidebar and follow the Getting Started instructions to set up a new account. If you already have an account, click Log in.
- In the Code Time sidebar, open the Settings view to configure Flow Mode. With Flow Mode, you can protect your time and defend against disruptions right inside GoLand.
- In the Code Time sidebar, open your Dashboard to view your most recent coding stats. Visit the web app to see additional metrics or to manage your integrations.
After installing Code Time, you can create an account to keep track of your coding data and unlock access to advanced data visualizations in the web app. Registering an account also lets you connect multiple code editors on multiple devices using the same email account. Your code time data will sync automatically across your devices.
Code Time is free to use and includes access to basic time tracking across your editors and IDEs. It is free to create an account.
You can upgrade to the Pro plan for $9.95/mo to access to advanced reporting, including code time by project. You will also be able to export your data as a JSON, CSV, or PNG file.
