Installation Guide for Eclipse

First released in 2001 by Eclipse Foundation, Eclipse IDE was made available with the Java development kit that instantly made it one of the most sought-after development tools for Java and Scala programming. Now supporting 20+ other languages with the help of plugins, Eclipse IDE is a viable choice for developers working across various development stacks. Eclipse also includes powerful features like code autocomplete, modeling services for UML, and integrations with services like GitHub and Jira. Here's how to get started with Eclipse:

  1. Visit the Eclipse marketplace and search for the Code Time plugin. Drag the Install button into the Eclipse IDE, or follow the instructions in the marketplace to install it manually.
  2. After installing the plugin, open the Code Time view and follow the in-editor instructions to create an account. If you already have an account, select Log in.
  3. In the Code Time view, you can configure Flow Mode to protect your time and defend against disruptions.
  4. After a few minutes, you can view your current coding stats from the Code Time view by opening the Dashboard. You can also open the web app to view additional metrics.
Do I need to create an account?

After installing Code Time, you can create an account to keep track of your coding data and unlock access to advanced data visualizations in the web app. Registering an account also lets you connect multiple code editors on multiple devices using the same email account. Your code time data will sync automatically across your devices.
